“After the first shoot with Ada Niessner, a few days later she asked me if we could take pictures with a dress she has. She sent me 2 pictures of it and I knew immediately that we will do the shooting in a villa or castle! A few days later we had an acceptance from a beautiful villa in Leipzig, Germany.” explains German based photographer Mike Palmowski to us. Fascinated by by photos and old films of his parents his work is inspired by the cinematic nostalgia that reminds us of a world long since past.
“My goal was to create a series where you feel like Ada is alone in her beautiful apartment and she is passing the time doing all kinds of things. I didn’t want it to be immediately obvious that the villa is in Germany. The photos could have been taken anywhere in the world.” Assistance by Jasmin Stock.
