“I met Lauren on the same day we did the photo session and I believe we had good chemistry. We met at my studio located in the Roma neighborhood in Mexico City, an old neighborhood with a French aesthetic in a Latin American country,” said Mauricio. “I had Francesca Woodman and Agustin Ayala, a friend who released a new album, in mind. I was feeling somewhat melancholic at the time. We took the photos in an old house with high rooms, wooden floors, and large windows. These places have an aura of time and I have always enjoyed this aesthetic with a melancholic flavor.”
