“The idea of the shoot was to show the connection to nature and how grounding it can feel. We are constantly being bombed with information & overwhelmed with “to-do” lists, and it’s hard to find time in our busy schedules to do nothing or just rest withouth thousands of distracing thoughts.
However cliche it sounds, sitting still at the beach, or just taking a dip in the ocean has an enormous impact on how we feel. It can help us appreciate little pleasures, such as feel of the sand on our skin. And taking a break can help us gain perspective on complex issues.
The clothes used in the shoot are either vintage or come from sustainable brands. All fabrics are natural. I didn’t want to include many colors in the photos, to ensure that the audience is not distracted by them.”
