Photographer Sarah Zak pays no attention to embellished images or perfect poses. Her works are snapshots, real and raw. Even though analogue photography has been booming for years, it feels like the real thing is fading away again from photography. The temptation of filters, lights, and staging is too great. That’s why we are delighted to showcase some old-school analogue pictures of the artist once more today, this time with the muse Jinjoo in front of the camera.
She tells: “I saw Jinjoo for the first time in a picture that a friend took of her. I knew right away: I wanted to meet this girl and take pictures of her myself! This year, I moved to Mexico City and saw in Juncos’ stories that she’s here as well. I sent her a message, and we met for lunch. We hit it off right away, and we had a very similar story that brought us here to Mexico. It took a while, but then I finally got to shoot with her in my apartment in CDMX. I hope you’ll like them.”
