The Swiss five-piece band, Sirens of Lesbos, once again captivates listeners with their delightful and enchanting single “Easy,” a heartwarming song that offers a vibrant fusion of upbeat, feel-good vibes and a breath of fresh air amid life’s chaos.
As you dive into the melody, you inevitably feel the influences of the iconic Fleetwood Mac album “Rumours.” However, they add their own flair, weaving together elements of country twang and urban sophistication. “For months we tried to make it less country and more urban. But in the end, we just thought, ‘Forget it, it’s a great song.’ Or, as the Serags sing, encapsulating the mood of the song, ‘Let’s make this easy.'”
What began as a simple studio project with five people wanting to create music together gradually transformed into a real band. Sirens of Lesbos brings together diverse influences, including soul, jazz, rock, and hip-hop. “Easy” thrives mainly on the wonderful singing of sisters Jasmina and Nabyla Serag, which harmonizes perfectly with the artful instrumentation of producers Melvyn Buss and Arci Friede under the artistic direction of Denise Häberli.
“Easy” radiates a carefree energy that invites you to let go of your worries and enjoy the moment. The lyrics “Let’s make this easy” are a gentle reminder that sometimes we should just go with the flow and enjoy the simplicity of life. And it’s a wonderful taste of their upcoming album, “Peace.”
