Marine Fried is a 24-year-old French analog photographer. She has been photographing for the past two years, meeting women, sharing wonderful moments, talking, and, if they allow her, capturing their images with her eyes and camera.
This is part of her process of desexualizing women’s bodies and attempting to normalize nudity a bit more. “I try to convey naturalness, tenderness, and poetry through my photos. For this shoot, I immersed myself in Gladys‘ universe. We took the photos in the apartment where she grew up. It seems important to me to always take pictures of my models in a place that reassures them and where they feel comfortable.”
The photo series, presented in black and white, balances a captivating blend of sensuality, vulnerability, and strength. “It was the first time I met Gladys, and we took the time to talk together about our lives, our worlds, our loves, and our projects. I love photography, but I cherish the encounters it brings me even more. Every woman who agrees to be photographed by me gives me so much – their kindness, their smiles, their stories, helping me every day.”
