It’s fitting the album art for catGrinz’s latest single “Easily Erased” includes an old school convertible, because sonically there’s an element of cruising to it. Equal parts bedroom pop and hip-hop, its a wedding of nonchalant, yet directed sensibilities. Haunting pianos set a soundscape obscured by vintage drum machines and floating vocals. There’s a composite of dream and hook that’s reminiscent of new electro pop icons like Elohim or cult favorite lo-fier Wicca Phase Springs Eternal. “Easily Erased” is the second taste of a run up to her debut EP Highest In The Room which is slated to drop this June, and will consummate an official debut cycle for the new Californian artist.

“Easily Erased is about being hurt by the people I loved and how those experiences made me scared to love again, but by cutting those people off, it led me to a better place in my life.”
