Having met Tess and Nina over a year ago during her time in Mexico, Ramos felt an instant kinship with these two vibrant souls. This year, upon returning to Mexico for a short visit, they seized the opportunity to collaborate on something truly enjoyable.
Drawing from their shared background in the creative industry, the trio embarked on a photoshoot that defied convention. “All of us work in the creative industry, so the goal was to make sure that we are not restricting ourselves with mood boards and specific requirements.” Forgoing the confines of mood boards and guidelines, they sought to capture the free-spirited essence of the 90s, a decade known for its eclectic aesthetics. Their mutual love for this era served as their compass, guiding them towards a nostalgic direction.
On the day of the shoot, the adventure began at Nina’s place, where the air was infused with anticipation. Ascending to the rooftop, they eagerly awaited the moment when the sun would begin its descent, painting the sky with hues of orange and casting a soft, ethereal glow. It was in this enchanting light that they commenced their photographic journey.
