It’s been five short years since the inception of Lyrical Lemonade’s Summer Smash Festival, and since then, the event has skyrocketed to new heights. From a new venue to an all-star lineup, even through an insanely unexpected rainstorm, the Summer Smash team didn’t miss a beat and kept the event rolling.
The festival featured many hip-hop artists, from MattOX all the way to Lil Uzi Vert, Sexyy Red, Vince Staples, NLE Choppa, Veeze, and even hometown heroes such as Lil Durk, G Herbo, and Lil B The Based God. With a stacked lineup like this, the energy was high octane and exciting, which was more than expected.
Creating an atmosphere of good vibes, plenty of space, beautiful people wearing extravagant outfits, and great food options, there was no moment inside the Festival that was boring or monotonous. It was an extremely high tempo event. The only downside would be the traveling between the Culture Kings Stage inside the stadium and the main stage, the Lyrical Lemonade Starry Stage. Traversing up and down stairs became slightly exhausting by the end of Day 2. However, this didn’t stop the mass exodus between the three stages following each set so everyone could go and see their favorite artist perform.
If you’re a rap lover, a festival lover, or looking for your festival, then Lyrical Lemonade’s The Summer Smash in Bridgeview, IL, just 30 minutes outside the heart of Chicago, is definitely for you and should be on your bucket list.
