In the picturesque seaside locale of Ericeira, Portugal, where the quaint charm of a small surf and fisherman town coexists with a creative undercurrent, a captivating photographic story unfurls.
“Emilie de la Chapelle and I have been close friends since 2018,” shares photographer Róża Kadi about this series. “Despite not treading the professional model path, Emilie possesses a distinctive body consciousness and a statuesque pose that translate into striking photographs. Over the years, we’ve collaborated on numerous projects and shared an aesthetic vision. This photo series, however, holds unique significance as the final endeavor before Emilie embarked on a new chapter of her life.”
This project also represents an artistic collaboration with the brand Maré Jewels, founded by the talented Ida Hasselmann. Each piece of handmade ceramic jewelry, a tangible poem inspired by the moon, the sea, and the tidal ebb and flow, carries a palpable energy. “Maré,” translating to “tide” in Portuguese, indeed reflects the essence of these creations, resonating with the rhythm of our enchanting coastal home.
In its entirety, the photo series serves as a timeless ode to beachside moments, harmonizing the profound interplay between human presence and nature’s grandeur, and celebrating the raw elegance of the human form.
