We’re happy to feature a film photography series by Alexandra and Judianne, two talented female photographers hailing from the Sea to Sky corridor in BC, Canada. Connected by their vision, Alexandra Wikler and Judianne Grace embarked on a project last summer that aims to redefine how women are seen and portrayed in outdoor spaces.
“In a society where women are often pitted against each other, our project aimed to eliminate the competition and instead promote a sense of sisterhood,” says Judianne. “We wanted to go against the patriarchal norms that are so deeply ingrained in our culture and create a space where every woman feels seen and valued.” This series, shot entirely on film, explores themes of safety, acceptance, and the celebration of femininity in its many forms.
Through their lens, the photographers capture the unfolding dynamics among their diverse group of models—Nat Kim, Oe Wray, Kiki, Leah Grewal, and Erika Damberg.
