Brimming over with life characterized by serenity and in close communion with nature is how we would describe this au naturel photo shooting by Yogi who photographed his partner Mintyce while they enjoyed a holiday together in Miami. The power of the ocean and of love as the ultimate conduit for the lust of life.
“My two favorite times to explore a city are early morning and late at night, when the city is at its most still and inversely, at its most active. It could also be true that with us both sharing an affinity for the sun and the moon, we are drawn to the times when they are most visible. On this trip, we found ourselves alone on a nude beach at sunrise while on holiday in Miami. Picture vibrant Miami, the eclectic beauty of the art deco buildings and palm trees dancing high in the sky, the city is finally at rest if even for a brief moment as the sun barely peeks over the horizon. I appreciate the duality of Miami; at one point it’s a wild and chaotic party town, while on the other hand, it sits at the base of a country, a point of connection between worlds. It’s places like this that allow a person to find themselves, a deep dive into embracing their own duality. Maybe that’s why we are so drawn to it.
We had spent the last week and change exploring, eating, and enjoying all that Miami had to offer and the trip was winding down. It was, in fact, our last day of the trip with only a few hours before our departure time but before we left we had to put our feet on the sand and take in the sunrise together, enjoying each other’s presence in nature as the water made us feel so alive. The water washing onto the shore was oh-so tranquil, but what we didn’t expect was just how beautiful the scene would be, in real life. The sun and all its vibrance turned the water to the glass and created what I could only describe as a heavenly panorama as we stood waist-deep in the ocean, waves pushing up left and right but together we were at peace. They say that the devil is in the details but what we say that day as the universe in all her splendor, a moment where feeling powerless and insignificant in nature made us feel stronger together.
Traveling is a love that we share; experiencing places, meeting people from lives that differ from our own, and taking adventurous leaps toward deeper passion, a true lust for life, that amplifies our partnership. It really puts life into perspective when you get to experience new moments with a partner, your bond becomes one of admiration and understanding. It’s moments like these in life that bring us joy, show us the truth about love, and reveal ourselves to one another.”
