Roxana Neacsu received an invitation that would turn her New Year’s Eve into something magical. Her friend, Ioana, made a candid invitation: to meet in Paris, the city of love, and spend the last moments of the year together.
And so they met in a quaint hotel room, right across from the stunning Église Saint-Augustin. Roxana’s vision for the photo series was clear: to encapsulate the feeling of a big, cosy, warm hug. She wanted the images to exude the warmth and closeness of their friendship. To achieve this, she chose a point-and-shoot film camera. The camera’s simplicity and the unpredictability of film added an element of rawness to the photos. There would be no retakes, no filters – just the pure, unadulterated essence of the moment.
