Let´s do a little trip back in time. Low-rise jeans, tank tops, ruffles, crop tops and fitted tees, platform shoes, all sorts of belts, hair clips, everything bejeweled, and many more fun details were all key to the 2000s fashion. While it might have felt over the top to some, we love it for the vibe of fun and playfulness it embodied through the outfits, a bold attempt at experimenting and mixing styles and sometimes with the outcome that seemed to sound off: “I don’t care what you think about me.”
Photographer Alvin Chua, who comes from Manila, Philippines, teamed up with the beautiful models Lealand Phoenix and Josie Ruggles, who is with Forrealnewyorkcity agency, to create this Y2K-inspired shoot in Los Angeles. The shoot focuses on fun moments and random cool outfits. And, of course, on the secret star of this feature, who poses with patience and elegance as if he has never done anything else.
