London-based producer-songwriter GILSKA has spent the last three years honing in on a club-ready pop sound that is both concise, and direct. From her debut in 2021, the classically-trained artist has capitalized on pumping beats, punching synths, and a buoyant vocal style that ties it all together. It’s all there on her latest, “Finish What You Started,” which sees the native Sri-Lankan dancing away the bad vibes. “‘Finish What You Started’ is a song about being the one to walk away from an endless cycle of toxic situations,” she says. “It’s a reminder that reclaiming your power is as easy as walking away, realising that you’re still in control.”
