Justine is not a model; she’s a young woman who simply enjoys stepping in front of the camera now and then. Her wild curls catch the light as the sun glances off them, and her vibrant personality shines through in each frame captured by Tim Vansteelandt. Enjoy!
Tim Vansteelandt tells: “Well, I had been trying to arrange a shoot with Justine for some years, but we never found a date, and both of us forgot about it. This summer, though, I recognized her at a party. I’d never seen her in real life, only on Instagram, but I was certain it was her. And in that moment, I knew: I really have to do a shoot with her! I knew her beautiful curly hair and her ‘je m’en fous’ vibe would look incredible in photos. So I reached out to her again, and we did a lovely shoot this summer.
When I recently asked her to do another shoot at her place, it didn’t take nearly as long to arrange as the first one, haha. She lives in a cozy house next to a shoe museum (for real). The space has records by Frank Ocean and Sade on the walls, and even a traffic mirror. I love it. The place has fantastic natural light—just how I love shoot locations. I’m very pleased with the series; you can tell she’s so at ease in front of the camera. She’s incredibly photogenic, but Justine has no ambition to be a model. She prefers doing what she loves most: working in youth care.”
