We sat down with the talented Los Angeles-based Lauren Mia. She is a classical pianist and composer-turned-DJ, songwriter, vocalist, and music producer. And while I write these lines, the music of the gifted producer pulls me into another (better) world. The progressive, melodic sound comes with perfect timing and nudges gently along with brilliant depth. There is probably her whole profound being in her creations and in our interview she talks to us about the strength of femininity, her journey of healing, self-love and spirituality.

“I wanted a pop-type theme with a schizophrenic twist. The jam at the time was just perfect for that! Then in a second session, the lyrics came quickly. You freak me out when you do or you don’t call / you freak me out when you’re in or out of my head. The Love Equivalent emerged from the confrontation of self and self-image. Something that is also strongly reflected in Freak Talk. In this, each track is like a new facet that slowly emerges to the surface through this confrontation until it is sure of its own freedom.”

‘Forevermore’, is the second release from Boston based singer and songwriter Miguel Samuel, out of his forthcoming 4-track EP due April 2022 and co-produced by Anthony ‘Saffs’ Saffery of Cornershop fame. It starts with a familiar sound of past days vibes and turns out to be a sweet piece of nostalgic indie-pop.

“The location for the shoot was a place called the Cathedral House Hotel, which is known as one of the most haunted buildings in the UK.” tells us Scottish Photographer Alan Morgan and arouses our curiosity. “It is a little boutique type accommodation now but in the 1800s served as a half way house for a nearby prison.”

After years spent. abroad, I began to look at Naples with different, enamored eyes. “Anyone” speaks about a love you want to leave behind, about recovering self-confidence and the awareness of being master of your own destiny. I wanted to translate this awareness by humanizing Naples as a real character, as if Naples were telling me “do not forget where you come from.” tells us Russian-born Italian artist Patricia Manfield alias HĒIR.

“Intertwined is a photo story about the human bond. The invisible link between people, that little thin thread that makes us all intertwined. With this series I wanted to portrait the intimacy, skin on skin moments, warmth and softness that can flourish between two people. To me these subjects unlock a level of vulnerability within me an open my door to others.”
