A Spontaneous Day in Rotterdam

Body of Water

We shot the series on a warm summer’s evening at Blagdon Lake in Somerset, UK. I’d wanted to shoot there for a while but not found the right project until now. Foxey approached me with the idea of portraying the archetypes of one of the zodiac signs. In astrology, the water signs symbolise emotions, cleansing, healing, and the art of letting go. Each sign have their own energetic strengths and these photos aim to convey that.

Let’s rage against the dying of the light.

Somewhere where we can be a bit tipsy, laying on the ground on a mild summer night, connecting with earth’s core and the open, limitless sky. I can still remember how I met her. It was a rainy morning. I was in a hurry. My shoelace was untied and annoyedly I bent down to tie it again. The rain dripped from my hair onto my jeans.
