At my grandma’s house

I’ve always been inspired by my grandma’s traditional East Coast Catholic decorating, and the fact that she has lived in the same house since she married my grandpa in the 1940s. It’s the house that my dad and all his siblings grew up in, and where I spent a lot of time as a child. I was excited to finally create something using this location that captured the dreamlike isolation that I always feel in the suburbs.”

Quenching The Wanderlust

“Greenport invokes this feeling of being on a vacation to a foreign spiaggia in Positano, it has that magical beach port feel. Even though it was overcast, I created this story of Micaela being on a vacation for a day. Getting away from work, and spontaneously travelling to somewhere unknown to her. Ending up in a beautiful portside town and settling down for the day in a little nook away from her busy life.”
