For a few moments you slip into a different role, when you dedicate yourself to art, your limits blur and you can surpass yourself and discover a new world. Model Valeria Kalabina and photographer Alexander Tarazo mutually enrich each other in their latest photo session, that took place in a beautifully decorated appartment in NYC. 

This was already a month ago, and so we decided to shoot in her apartment a series full of strength, vulnerability, self-love, fear and longing. An intense desire to live, to dream, to love, to sleep, to laugh, to cry, to feel, to read, to see, to imagine, to remember, and to make art.

“Erin is an artist based in Brooklyn, New York. She invited me one afternoon to her apartment to meet us, have a couple of cocktails and organize a set together. A soft but captivating light illuminated the entire room and we couldn’t miss this opportunity. Inspired by her resilience and authenticity, a set charged with strength and vulnerability, a person with scars but still sensitive to the world. The kind of artist that inspires you.”
